Ingredients

For the Pumpkin Cold Foam:

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons 2% milk
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup (or simple syrup)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For the Nitro Coffee:

  • 12 ounces cold brew coffee (store-bought or homemade)
  • Nitrogen cartridge (for nitro infusion, if using a nitro cold brew dispenser)
  • Ice (optional, for serving)

Equipment

  • Handheld milk frother or blender
  • Small bowl or measuring cup
  • Nitro cold brew dispenser (e.g., a whipped cream canister with nitrogen cartridge) or pre-made nitro cold brew can
  • Tall glass for serving

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pumpkin Cold Foam

  1. In a small bowl or measuring cup, combine heavy cream, 2% milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Whisk until the pumpkin puree is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Use a handheld milk frother or blender to froth the mixture for 30–60 seconds until it becomes thick and foamy. Set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Nitro Coffee

  1. If using a nitro cold brew dispenser:
    • Pour 12 ounces of cold brew coffee into the dispenser.
    • Secure the lid and charge with one nitrogen cartridge. Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds to infuse the nitrogen.
    • Release the coffee through the nozzle into a tall glass, optionally over a few ice cubes, to create a creamy, cascading nitro effect.
  2. If using pre-made nitro cold brew:
    • Pour 12 ounces of nitro cold brew from a can or keg into a tall glass, optionally over ice, to maintain the creamy texture.

Step 3: Assemble the Drink

  1. Gently spoon or pour the pumpkin cold foam over the nitro coffee, allowing it to layer on top.
  2. Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of pumpkin pie spice on the foam for garnish.

Step 4: Serve

  • Serve immediately with a straw or stir gently to blend the foam into the coffee for a creamy, spiced sip.

Tips

  • For a stronger pumpkin flavor, increase the pumpkin puree to 1.5 tablespoons.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup to the cold foam.
  • If you don’t have a nitro dispenser, you can use regular cold brew and shake it with ice in a cocktail shaker for a similar frothy texture.
  • Store any leftover cold foam in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours; re-froth before using.
