There’s nothing worse than using a salad spinner and then having to spend an age poking out little bits of salad that have got stuck half in half out of the colander holes.
The good folks from OXO seem to have got things exactly right by making the holes in the colander just the right size.
This means that what needs to go through to the base does and a lot fewer pieces get stuck than in the other salad spinners we looked at.
Another great advantage to this model is its easy cleaner. Each of the different sections easily come apart and are dishwasher friendly. So, once you’ve cleaned your salad, you simply take apart the lid, colander, and base and pop them in the dishwasher.
Our tests have shown that once washed, the OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner keeps on coming out as good as new and doesn’t lose some of its’ sparkle over multiple washes.
If you’re stuck for storage space, the plunger on the top of the unit presses in flat so it can easily slide in on top of plates or other items and needn’t take up extra room.
